After a delicious meal at Hudson's Bar-B-Q that included crashing a wedding party our Sunday School class and a few guests headed out to the Clinton Sease Farm in Lexington to check out the Corn Maze. We were disappointed that the wedding party didn't offer up any of their cake ... after all we did comply when they SHUSHED us during dinner.

Complete with warm clothes, enough flashlights for a plane to find us and land and glow necklaces that didn't work (I want my dollar back from the dollar store!) we set out to "GET LOST". We watched a short video and repeated the rules something like this ... "I will TRY not to run in the Maze. I will TRY not to walk through the corn". Despite FREEZING we managed to make our way out of the maze in a reasonable amount of time.

About 30 minutes into it Kenny pointed out that we were following his 9-year old and were not paying any attention to the maps. Somehow Dalton's path was something like this ... Start, Question #1, Question #3, Question 17 and 18. Finished! We skipped half of the questions without breaking any of the rules and "low crawling" through the corn. GO DALTON!!!

Due to the very cold temps we were forced to be creative in order to stay warm. Kelly and Sandra skipped, Keith Huggins and Scott race walked and Paula and Keith Hayes did the YMCA to his flash light radio that was playing mostly Perry Como ... don't ask. Afterwards we enjoyed hot cocoa and cider, took some funny pictures and raced rubber duckies at the water pump before heading home to thaw.
