Justin Scurry

Cayce resident and BC High graduate Justin Scurry visited our Sunday School class and shared what it is like to be a 21-year old amputee. Justin was in a car accident approximately 13 months ago that left him scarred for life. His story is one of triumph, determination and great faith. See the attached link to read a little of his story and some of the good works that he continues to do. Pray for Justin as he will undergo surgery in May to replace the Achilles tendon of his left and remaining leg.

Several gals from TBC attended part or all of the "Girlfriends of Faith" conference this weekend hosted by Pam Pierce, featuring Gigi Graham (daughter of Billy and Ruth). http://www.girlfriendsoffaith.com/Welcome.html
One of my take a ways was that we all have scars. Most of us see scars as a sign of weakness when in fact a scar of the skin is scientifically proven to be much, much stronger than that of our original skin. Ponder that thought this week .... God has brought each of us through our own set of struggles and each of us are stronger because of it.

Next Sunday we will begin our new material; Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala of the Brooklyn Tabernacle. This material comes highly recommended from several in our class. I look forward to seeing you all then. Have a wonderful week !
